Our Background

Eden ministries Uganda Is a National non-governmental Christian founded organization based in Uganda. We are a child centered organization believe in equality in dignity, and respect for human rights. We believe that if the vulnerable groups like women, children, youth, the disabled, people living with HIV/AIDS and others are empowered, and made to realize their full potential, they would be an asset to economic development. We are operating in Buikwe and kamuli district
Its development program focuses mainly on social mobilization and policy advocacy work addressing issues of gender inequality and women’s rights, food security and livelihood, orphans care and support, HIV and AIDS and its impact on education and other socio-economic and cultural inequalities and injustices. Its approach emphasizes community based care for supporting marginalized groups of people. We believe that when you sponsor a child you help to solve the problem of poverty which would affect the economy of Uganda tomorrow.

Where We Work

Eden ministries Uganda is working in eastern and central Uganda that is in Kamuli and Buikwe respectively. Currently we are operating in two districts but with hopes of expanding when resources are got to facilitate implementing a comprehensive health integrated services in communities, strengthening referral and linkages, strengthening existing health institution and community systems, increase adoption of health behaviours in communities

About the Executive Director

Samuel Kibi

Eden has a strong team led by a young energetic passionate gentleman Samuel Kibi as the executive director with a degree in Education and post graduate diploma in project planning and management. Seven years of senior management and three years of program development and participation in Community Development and humanitarian support specializing in Basic education, Health, legal, economic security and human rights support to orphans and deprived vulnerable children (OVC), women and families in hard to reach communities like Bulisa and kamwenge districts. This experience as part of multiple teams in an International and national Organizations like world vision international, share an opportunity Uganda and plan international have provided an opportunity to be familiar with, and develop personal attributes and “hands on” skills in the following key result areas:
Strategic Planning, design and implementation of community work,Sponsor and donor relations, fundraising, Human resource management skills,Best documentation practices,Research work and data collection skills,Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA),Gender based violence. (GBV),Education concepts and ECD basic education and parenting session,Legal rights for children and women,Child Centred Community Development work (CCCD),Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation,Partnerships and collaborations especially at local and international community level.

Sylivia has a degree in Development Studies from kyambogo University and also has vast experience in Childhood development. she runs our administrative work and also responsible for Human Resource and Logistical supplies within organization.

She has 5 years of experience in organisation management and has served in many minirties in Canada. she also has varsity knowledge to in initial and closing project .she has a bachelors in in Public Relations and Marketing and Master in community psychology

She has five years of organisation management with experience from several organisations like family strength for a better child and Uganda Red Cross kamuli project. She has bachelor’s degree in environmental science from IUIU University mbale and certificate in guidance and counselling.
